According to the most recent Nilson Report (Issue #1099), Comdata is now ranked 59th globally among all credit card issuers. The rankings are based on total purchase volume, however, spend volume on Comdata’s proprietary corporate payments and fuel card networks was not included in the data. Had that volume been included, Comdata would rank in the Top 40 globally.

Comdata Ranked as One of the Largest Credit Card Issuers Worldwide

December 02,2016

According to the most recent Nilson Report (Issue #1099), Comdata is now ranked 59th globally among all credit card issuers. The rankings are based on total purchase volume, however, spend volume on Comdata’s proprietary corporate payments and fuel card networks was not included in the data. Had that volume been included, Comdata would rank in the Top 40 globally.

Comdata’s ranking is especially impressive considering the company only issues commercial credit cards in North America. Nearly every other issuer on the list offers both commercial and consumer credit cards, many across multiple global regions.

“We’re very proud of our continued growth,” said Josh Raymond, VP of Marketing at Comdata. “The technology and services we offer to support our clients’ credit card and payment needs is what has allowed us to achieve such scale even though we are very specialized when you compare us to our bank competitors. We don’t just sell credit cards, we help companies build world-class payment programs.”
